실시간 대선정보 위젯을 개발하면서...
Posted 2007/12/12 15:56, Filed under: 라이프오늘 공식적으로 위자드닷컴과 블로그에 공지사항으로 실시간 대선정보 위젯과 포털 운용에 대한 글이 올라왔습니다. 비록 일주일밖에 남지 않은 기간이지만 좀더 후보자들을 제대로 알고 투표에 임하자는 취지로 조금이나마 도움이 된다면 좋을 것 같습니다.
사실 이러한 실시간 대선정보 위젯과 포털에 대한 계획을 진작 했었다면 좀더 많은 도움이 되었을지도 모르겠지만 실제로 이러한 아이디어는 지난 주에 나왔고 위젯 구현도 그날 바로 시작했습니다.
하지만 늦었다는 생각에 급하게 만들다 보니 결과물이 마음에 들지 않았습니다. 단순하게 후보들의 블로그 글을 보여주는 기능밖에 없었거든요.

그래서 실제 유권자들에게 필요한 정보들이 무엇일까 생각해보고 위젯보다 더 작은 마이젯을 고려하여 구현하려다 보니 많은 기능을 추가하지 못하고 후보들의 공약과 지지율, 관련 뉴스, 후보자들의 블로그만 구현되었습니다. 시간이 많이 부족했기에 사무실에서 야식을 먹어가며 기회 & 디자인 & 개발을 해야했습니다.
사실 기획이나 개발상의 어려움보다는 대선 관련 위젯이다 보니 민감한 부분들을 고민한 시간이 많았습니다. 예를들어 후보자들의 공약을 보여주고 싶었지만 후보자가 워낙 많아 작은 공간에 모든 후보들의 공약을 보여줄 수 없어 먼저 보여질 후보들을 정해야 했고, 후보자들 블로그 또한 보여지는 순서를 정하는데 많은 고민이 되었습니다. 결국 지지율 순으로 후보자들의 공약을 먼저 보여주었고 블로그 글의 경우 각 후보별 글 하나씩 최신글을 먼저 보여주도록 했습니다.

비록 일주일 정도 밖에 안되는 짧은 기간이고 사용률도 얼마나 될지 모르겠지만 한 사람의 유권자로서 좀더 올바르고 대통령이 될 만한 사람을 뽑는데 도움이 되었으면 좋겠습니다.
그럼 저는 다시 위젯 개발을 하기 위해 오늘도 달리러 갑니다. ^^
ps. 다음 대선 때는 정말 대통령 후보가 될만한 사람들만 나왔으면 좋겠습니다. 한페이지에 모두 다 보일 수 있을 정도로...
